A love affair with NZ produce www.jpexports.co.nz

JP Exports Ltd was established in 2006 to facilitate a clear focus for NZ produce exports within the organisation, as exports have been an important foundation for much of New Zealand's horticulture industry, as well as one of the cornerstones of our family's history in business.

Throughout the 20th century Sir Harvey Turner, followed by his son Jack, continued to develop New Zealand's produce exporting potential, pioneering many of New Zealand's current major export lines and markets. Exports of apples, strawberries, stonefruit, avocados, onions, squash, kiwifruit and flowers were all developed or strongly influenced through their efforts; in fact it was Jack along with his brother Grahame who coined the name ‘Kiwifruit' in 1959 to enhance the marketing potential of a fruit that, until then, had been known as the Chinese Gooseberry. Jeffery & Peter have themselves had many years in exporting produce, being involved since the 1970's in the development of new markets and products.

JP Exports Ltd is named in honour of Jeffery & Peter's father - John "Jack" Penman Turner, affectionately known as "JP".

With offices in Northland, Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay and Christchurch, JP Exports Ltd works with some of the best growers to supply the finest and freshest export produce from New Zealand.
